Camping Equipment Exports

Exports in Eastern Europe

For the fourth year in a row, Eastern Europe recorded growth in shipments abroad of camping goods, which increased by X% to X tons in 2023. Total exports indicated a resilient expansion from 2012 to 2023: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, exports increased by X% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure in 2023 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In value terms, camping equipment exports soared to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, exports enjoyed prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2023 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

In Poland, camping equipment exports expanded at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012-2023. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Czech Republic (X% per year) and Romania (X% per year).

The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per ton in 2023, declining by X% against the previous year. Over the last eleven-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of X%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the export price increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2022, and then contracted slightly in the following year.

In value terms, camping equipment imports declined slightly to $X in 2023. In general, imports, however, posted a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2022, and then declined slightly in the following year.

Imports by Country

In 2023, Poland (X tons) and Russia (X tons) represented the key importers of camping goods in Eastern Europe, together accounting for approx. X% of total imports. It was distantly followed by the Czech Republic (X tons), Romania (X tons), Hungary (X tons) and Slovakia (X tons), together constituting a X% share of total imports.
