Beef Market Size in Eastern Europe

The East European beef market dropped modestly to $X in 2022, declining by X% against the previous year. In general, consumption recorded a perceptible reduction. From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume in Russia was relatively modest. The remaining producing countries recorded the following average annual rates of production growth: Poland (X% per year) and Belarus (X% per year).

The average beef yield shrank slightly to X kg per head in 2022, approximately reflecting 2021 figures. The yield figure increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of X% against the previous year. In 2022, number of animals slaughtered for beef production in Eastern Europe totaled X heads, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. Exports in Eastern Europe

In 2022, shipments abroad of beef (cattle meat) decreased by X% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2021, and then fell in the following year.

In value terms, beef exports surged to $X in 2022. Total exports indicated a remarkable increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by X% against 2018 indices.
