Exports in Eastern Europe

In 2022, overseas shipments of articles of peat increased by X% to X tons, rising for the sixth consecutive year after four years of decline. Overall, exports saw a tangible expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

In value terms, articles of peat exports soared to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a measured expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.

Latvia represented the main exporting country with an export of about X tons, which finished at X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by the Czech Republic (X tons) and Poland (X tons), together achieving a X% share of total exports.
