Arsenic Exports

Exports in Eastern Europe

Arsenic exports expanded sharply to X tons in 2023, with an increase of X% on the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X tons in 2021; however, from 2022 to 2023, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, arsenic exports reached $X in 2023. Overall, exports continue to indicate a buoyant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2021; however, from 2022 to 2023, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Poland represented the largest exporting country with an export of about X tons, which accounted for X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Bulgaria (X tons), achieving a X% share of total exports.

Poland was also the fastest-growing in terms of the arsenic exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Bulgaria (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. From 2012 to 2023, the share of Poland increased by X percentage points.

In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest arsenic supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Bulgaria ($X), with a X% share of total exports.

In 2023, the amount of arsenic imported in Eastern Europe surged to X tons, picking up by X% compared with 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate resilient growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, arsenic imports skyrocketed to $X in 2023. Overall, imports posted strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by X%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2022 to 2023, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

Imports by Country

Poland was the main importer of arsenic in Eastern Europe, with the volume of imports recording X tons, which was approx. X% of total imports in 2023. It was distantly followed by Bulgaria (X tons), comprising a X% share of total imports. The following importers - Romania (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons) - each reached a X% share of total imports.

Poland was also the fastest-growing in terms of the arsenic imports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023.
