Pumpkin Market Size in Eastern Asia
The East Asian pumpkin market amounted to $X in 2022, leveling off at the previous year. Exports in Eastern Asia
In 2022, exports of pumpkin (squash and gourds) in Eastern Asia fell remarkably to X tons, reducing by X% against 2021. Over the period under review, exports showed a deep setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2021, and then contracted dramatically in the following year.
In value terms, pumpkin exports dropped remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of X%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

China prevails in exports structure, finishing at X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Japan (X tons), committing a X% share of total exports. South Korea (X tons) held a relatively small share of total exports.
Exports from China decreased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Japan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Japan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Asia, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, South Korea (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Japan (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of China (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, pumpkin imports shrank to $X in 2022. Overall, imports showed a noticeable slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Japan was the key importing country with an import of about X tons, which recorded X% of total imports.
