Exports of Motorcycles, Scooters and Side-Cars

Exports in Eastern Asia

After five years of growth, shipments abroad of motorcycles, scooters and side-cars decreased by X% to X units in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a prominent increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X units in 2021, and then fell markedly in the following year.

In value terms, motorcycle, scooter and side-car exports amounted to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, enjoyed a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

China dominates exports structure, finishing at X units, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. Taiwan (Chinese) (X units) and Japan (X units) took a little share of total exports.

China was also the fastest-growing in terms of the motorcycles, scooters and side-cars exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2022. Imports in Eastern Asia

After seven years of growth, supplies from abroad of motorcycles, scooters and side-cars decreased by X% to X units in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X units in 2021, and then shrank markedly in the following year.

In value terms, motorcycle, scooter and side-car imports shrank slightly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2021, and then dropped slightly in the following year.
