Resistor Exports

Exports in Eastern Asia

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was decline in shipments abroad of electrical resistors (except heating resistors), when their volume decreased by X% to X units. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a strong expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X units, and then fell in the following year.

In value terms, resistor exports rose modestly to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

In 2022, China (X units) represented the largest exporter of electrical resistors (except heating resistors), constituting X% of total exports. Hong Kong SAR (X units) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Taiwan (Chinese) (X units). All these countries together held near X% share of total exports. Japan (X units) and South Korea (X units) took a relatively small share of total exports.

China was also the fastest-growing in terms of the electrical resistors (except heating resistors) exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Taiwan (Chinese) (X%), South Korea (X%), Japan (X%) and Hong Kong SAR (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. In general, imports continue to indicate a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.

In value terms, resistor imports declined modestly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed buoyant growth.
