Exports in Eastern Asia

In 2022, overseas shipments of chromates, dichromates and peroxochromates were finally on the rise to reach X tons after two years of decline. Overall, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, chromates exports soared to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The level of export peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

China represented the largest exporter of chromates, dichromates and peroxochromates in Eastern Asia, with the volume of exports finishing at X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by South Korea (X tons) and Japan (X tons), together constituting an X% share of total exports. Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

China was also the fastest-growing in terms of the chromates, dichromates and peroxochromates exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2022. Japan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern.
