In value terms, nitrogenous fertilizer imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

Trinidad and Tobago (X tons), the United States (X tons) and Russia (X tons) were the main suppliers of nitrogenous fertilizer imports to the Dominican Republic.
