In that year, garlic exports reached their peak of X tonnes. From 2011 to 2018, the growth of garlic exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, garlic exports amounted to $X in 2018. In general, garlic exports continue to indicate a conspicuous increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. Exports peaked at $X in 2010; however, from 2011 to 2018, exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

Haiti (X tonnes), Aruba (X kg) and the U.S. (X kg) were the main destinations of garlic exports from the Dominican Republic, together comprising X% of total exports. These countries were followed by Canada and Jamaica, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of exports, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Jamaica, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for garlic exported from the Dominican Republic were Haiti ($X), the U.S. ($X) and Aruba ($X), together accounting for X% of total exports.
