The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Lithuania (X tons) was the main destination for roasted coffee exports from Denmark, accounting for a 34% share of total exports. In terms of the main countries of destination, France, with a CAGR of +106.7%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average roasted coffee export price amounted to $X per ton, approximately mirroring the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +4.3%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 28% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton, leveling off in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Finland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+7.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the amount of roasted coffee imported into Denmark totaled X tons, picking up by 10% against 2020. In general, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern.
