Porcelain Technical Ware Market Size in Denmark

Over the period under review, exports attained the maximum at X tonnes in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2020, exports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, porcelain technical ware exports skyrocketed to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. Exports peaked in 2020 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

Exports by Country

China (X tonnes) was the main destination for porcelain technical ware exports from Denmark, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, porcelain technical ware exports to China exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the Netherlands (X tonnes), fivefold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by Iceland (X tonnes), with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to China totaled +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Netherlands (+X% per year) and Iceland (+X% per year).

As a result, export price attained the peak level of $X per tonne, and then contracted notably in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2020, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to China ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Thailand, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2020, overseas purchases of porcelain ceramic wares for laboratory, technical, and chemical use decreased by -X% to X tonnes for the first time since 2017, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Overall, imports continue to indicate a deep setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2020, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, porcelain technical ware imports fell sharply to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, imports showed a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2020, imports remained at a lower figure.
