Exports from the Czech Republic

After three years of decline, shipments abroad of wine increased by X% to X litres in 2022. Overall, exports, however, recorded a abrupt slump. The exports peaked at X litres in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, wine exports surged to $X in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The exports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Slovakia (X litres), Germany (X litres) and Poland (X litres) were the main destinations of wine exports from the Czech Republic, together accounting for X% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Germany (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, overseas purchases of wine were finally on the rise to reach X litres for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. In general, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, wine imports dropped modestly to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2021, and then contracted modestly in the following year.
