Over the period under review, exports attained the peak figure at X tonnes in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2020, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, vegetable puree exports surged to $X in 2020. Overall, exports, however, saw a tangible increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, exports reached the maximum at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2020, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Slovakia (X tonnes) was the main destination for vegetable puree exports from the Czech Republic, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, vegetable puree exports to Slovakia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Romania (X tonnes), threefold. Poland (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual growth rate of volume to Slovakia amounted to +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Romania (-X% per year) and Poland (+X% per year).

In value terms, Slovakia ($X) remains the key foreign market for vegetable puree exports from the Czech Republic, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Romania ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Poland, with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual growth rate of value to Slovakia amounted to +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Romania (+X% per year) and Poland (+X% per year).

Export Prices by Country

The average vegetable puree export price stood at $X per tonne in 2020, with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the last thirteen-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +X%. As a result, export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In 2020, the countries with the highest prices were the U.S. ($X per tonne) and Germany ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Poland ($X per tonne) and Slovakia ($X per tonne) were amongst the lowest.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2009 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Imports peaked in 2020 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, vegetable puree imports skyrocketed to $X in 2020. In general, imports posted strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by X% y-o-y.
