Spain (X tonnes) occupied a X% share (based on tonnes) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Sudan (X%), South Africa (X%), Nigeria (X%), Egypt (X%) and Turkey (X%). Germany (X tonnes), Poland (X tonnes), Belgium (X tonnes) and Portugal (X tonnes) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Exports from China decreased at an average annual rate of -X% from 2007 to 2017. At the same time, Poland (+X%), Belgium (+X%), Nigeria (+X%), Sudan (+X%), South Africa (+X%), Germany (+X%) and Portugal (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Poland emerged as the fastest growing exporter in the world, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2017. By contrast, Turkey (-X%), Spain (-X%) and Egypt (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. China (X%), Spain (X%) and Egypt (X%) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global exports, while Belgium, Poland, Nigeria and Sudan saw its share reduced by -X%, -X%, -X% and -X% from 2007 to 2017, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest sugar crop supplier from the Czech Republic, making up X% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by South Africa ($X), with a X% share of global exports. It was followed by Germany, with a X% share.
From 2007 to 2017, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in China totaled +X%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: South Africa (+X% per year) and Germany (+X% per year).
Sugar Crop Export Prices by Country in the Czech Republic
In 2017, the sugar crop export price in the Czech Republic amounted to $X per tonne, rising by X% against the previous year. In general, sugar crop export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013, when the export prices increased by X% year-to-year. In 2017, the amount of sugar crops imported into the Czech Republic stood at X tonnes, surging by X% against the previous year. Overall, the total imports indicated a strong growth from 2007 to 2017: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2017 figures, the sugar crop imports increased by +X% against 2014 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011, with an increase of X% y-o-y. In that year, the sugar crop imports reached their peak volume of X tonnes. From 2012 to 2017, growth of the sugar crop imports stood at a somewhat lower level.

In 2017, Germany (X tonnes), followed by the U.S. (X tonnes), Spain (X tonnes), Iran (X tonnes), Russia (X tonnes), the Netherlands (X tonnes) and China (X tonnes) were the key importers of sugar crops, together committing X% of total imports. The following importers - France (X tonnes), Italy (X tonnes), Japan (X tonnes), Saudi Arabia (X tonnes) and Thailand (X tonnes) together made up X% of total imports.
From 2007 to 2017, the most notable rate of growth in terms of imports, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Iran (+X% per year), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest sugar crop markets worldwide were Germany ($X), the U.S. ($X) and Japan ($X), together comprising X% of total imports. Spain, Iran, the Netherlands, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Russia, China, France, Thailand and the Czech Republic lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.
Among the main importing countries , Iran (+X% per year) recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to imports, over the last decade, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Sugar Crop Import Prices by Country in the Czech Republic
In 2017, the sugar crop import price in the Czech Republic amounted to $X per tonne, growing by X% against the previous year. Overall, the import price indicated a conspicuous increase from 2007 to 2017: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2017 figures, the sugar crop import price decreased by -X% against 2015 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013, when the import prices increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, the import prices for sugar crops attained its peak figure level of $X per tonne in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2017, it stood at a somewhat lower level.
Import prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest import price was Japan ($X per tonne), while China ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
