The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2009 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, exports attained the peak figure at X tonnes in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2020, exports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, explosives exports declined to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, total exports indicated moderate growth from 2007 to 2020: its value decreased at an average annual rate of -X% over the last thirteen-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2020 figures, exports decreased by -X% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2012 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2020, exports remained at a lower figure.

Slovakia (X tonnes), Ukraine (X tonnes) and Germany (X tonnes) were the main destinations of explosives exports from the Czech Republic, with a combined X% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Italy, Sweden, Austria, Serbia and Finland, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Sweden, while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Ukraine ($X), Serbia ($X) and Germany ($X) constituted the largest markets for explosives exported from the Czech Republic worldwide, together comprising X% of total exports. Sweden, Slovakia, Austria, Italy and Finland lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2020, the average explosives export price amounted to $X per tonne, surging by X% against the previous year. In general, the export price enjoyed a remarkable increase. As a result, export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was Serbia ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Finland ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Serbia, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2020, the amount of prepared explosives imported into the Czech Republic surged to X tonnes, with an increase of X% on 2019. Overall, imports, however, recorded a slight decrease. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2020, imports failed to regain the momentum.

In 2020, Austria (X tonnes) constituted the largest explosives supplier to the Czech Republic, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, explosives imports from Austria exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Poland (X tonnes), twofold. Germany (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total imports with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual growth rate of volume from Austria amounted to +X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Poland (-X% per year) and Germany (+X% per year).
