Slovakia (X tonnes) was the main destination for orange juice exports from the Czech Republic, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, orange juice exports to Slovakia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Hungary (X tonnes), twofold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by Austria (X tonnes), with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual growth rate of volume to Slovakia totaled -X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Hungary (-X% per year) and Austria (-X% per year).

In value terms, Slovakia ($X) remains the key foreign market for orange juice exports from the Czech Republic, comprising X% of total orange juice exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Hungary ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Austria, with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual growth rate of value to Slovakia stood at -X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Hungary (+X% per year) and Austria (-X% per year).

Export Prices by Country

The average orange juice export price stood at $X per tonne in 2018, jumping by X% against the previous year. Over the last eleven years, it increased at an average annual rate of +X%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, the average export prices for orange juice attained their peak figure in 2018 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2018, the country with the highest price was Austria ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into the Czech Republic

In 2018, the amount of orange juice imported into the Czech Republic stood at X tonnes, increasing by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, orange juice imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2009; however, from 2010 to 2018, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, orange juice imports totaled $X in 2018. In general, orange juice imports continue to indicate a mild expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, orange juice imports attained their peak figure in 2018 and are likely to continue its growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

In 2018, Poland (X tonnes) constituted the largest supplier of orange juice to the Czech Republic, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, orange juice imports from Poland exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tonnes), twofold. Austria (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total imports with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual growth rate of volume from Poland stood at +X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+X% per year) and Austria (+X% per year).
