Exports from the Czech Republic

In 2022, shipments abroad of optical fibers, bundles and cables increased by X% to X tons, rising for the second consecutive year after two years of decline. In general, exports enjoyed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, optical fiber, bundle and cable exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Overall, exports enjoyed a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Spain (X tons), the UK (X tons) and Slovakia (X tons) were the main destinations of optical fiber, bundle and cable exports from the Czech Republic, with a combined X% share of total exports. Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, the United States, Belgium, France, the United Arab Emirates, Sweden, Hungary and India lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Australia (with a CAGR of X%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
