Dried Mushroom Market Size in the Czech Republic

The revenue of the dried mushroom market in the Czech Republic amounted to $X in 2018, going down by -X% against the previous year. Exports peaked at X tonnes in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2018, exports failed to regain their momentum.

In value terms, dried mushroom exports stood at $X in 2018. In general, dried mushroom exports, however, continue to indicate prominent growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2011 with an increase of X% against the previous year. In that year, dried mushroom exports reached their peak of $X. From 2012 to 2018, the growth of dried mushroom exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

Hungary (X tonnes) was the main destination for dried mushroom exports from the Czech Republic, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, dried mushroom exports to Hungary exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Slovakia (X tonnes), eightfold.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual growth rate of volume to Hungary stood at +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Slovakia (+X% per year) and Germany (+X% per year).

In value terms, Slovakia ($X), Hungary ($X) and Germany ($X) were the largest markets for dried mushroom exported from the Czech Republic worldwide, together accounting for X% of total exports.

Among the main countries of destination, Hungary experienced the highest rates of growth with regard to exports, over the last eleven years, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

The average dried mushroom export price stood at $X per tonne in 2018, picking up by X% against the previous year. In general, the dried mushroom export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the average export price increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, the average export prices for mushrooms (dried) reached their peak figure at $X per tonne in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2018, export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hungary, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into the Czech Republic

Dried mushroom imports into the Czech Republic totaled X tonnes in 2018, declining by -X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, dried mushroom imports, however, continue to indicate a slight increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2008 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, dried mushroom imports attained their maximum at X tonnes in 2009; however, from 2010 to 2018, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, dried mushroom imports stood at $X in 2018. Over the period under review, dried mushroom imports, however, continue to indicate buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Imports peaked at $X in 2009; however, from 2010 to 2018, imports failed to regain their momentum.

Imports by Country

China (X tonnes), Viet Nam (X tonnes) and Germany (X tonnes) were the main suppliers of dried mushroom imports to the Czech Republic, together comprising X% of total imports. These countries were followed by Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Italy, Chile and France, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of imports, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Poland, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, China ($X), Germany ($X) and Hungary ($X) constituted the largest dried mushroom suppliers to the Czech Republic, together comprising X% of total imports. Poland, the Netherlands, Chile, Viet Nam, Italy and France lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to imports, among the main suppliers over the last eleven-year period, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The average dried mushroom import price stood at $X per tonne in 2018, growing by X% against the previous year. In general, the dried mushroom import price continues to indicate buoyant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when the average import price increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, the average import prices for mushrooms (dried) reached their maximum in 2018 and is expected to retain its growth in the near future.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2018, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per tonne), while the price for Viet Nam ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary, while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
