Golf Equipment Market Size in the Czech Republic

The revenue of the golf equipment market in the Czech Republic amounted to $X in 2018, surging by X% against the previous year. This figure reflects the total revenues of producers and importers (excluding logistics costs, retail marketing costs, and retailers' margins, which will be included in the final consumer price). Over the period under review, golf equipment exports reached their maximum at X tonnes in 2010; however, from 2011 to 2018, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, golf equipment exports stood at $X in 2018. In general, golf equipment exports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X% y-o-y. In that year, golf equipment exports reached their peak of $X. From 2017 to 2018, the growth of golf equipment exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

Georgia (X tonnes) was the main destination for golf equipment exports from the Czech Republic, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, golf equipment exports to Georgia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Slovakia (X tonnes), fourfold. Germany (X kg) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Georgia stood at +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Slovakia (+X% per year) and Germany (-X% per year).

In value terms, Germany ($X), Slovakia ($X) and Georgia ($X) were the largest markets for golf equipment exported from the Czech Republic worldwide, with a combined X% share of total exports. The United Arab Emirates, the UK, Poland and Bulgaria lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X United Arab Emirates (+X% per year) recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to market size, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

The average golf equipment export price stood at $X per tonne in 2018, reducing by -X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the golf equipment export price continues to indicate a significant downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2011 when the average export price increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices for golf clubs and other golf equipment reached their peak figure at $X per tonne in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2018, export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Georgia ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

In 2018, the imports of golf clubs and other golf equipment into the Czech Republic totaled X tonnes, going up by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, golf equipment imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2018, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, golf equipment imports stood at $X in 2018. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2007 to 2018; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2011 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Imports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2018, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2018, China (X tonnes) constituted the largest supplier of golf equipment to the Czech Republic, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, golf equipment imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the UK (X tonnes), more than tenfold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by Indonesia (X tonnes), with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual growth rate of volume from China totaled +X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the UK (-X% per year) and Indonesia (+X% per year).
