Plastic Furniture Exports

Exports from the Czech Republic

For the fourth year in a row, the Czech Republic recorded decline in shipments abroad of furniture of plastic, which decreased by X% to X units in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw a measured increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, plastic furniture exports rose remarkably to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, enjoyed significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when exports increased by X%. The exports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

France (X units), Germany (X units) and Slovakia (X units) were the main destinations of plastic furniture exports from the Czech Republic, with a combined X% share of total exports. The United States and Poland lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.

Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, plastic furniture imports totaled $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate buoyant growth. In 2022, Poland (X units) constituted the largest supplier of plastic furniture to the Czech Republic, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, plastic furniture imports from Poland exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X units), twofold.
