Fruit Flour Exports

Exports from the Czech Republic

In 2022, shipments abroad of fruit flour decreased by -7.2% to X tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, exports, however, showed prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when exports increased by 94%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, fruit flour exports fell remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, recorded buoyant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 148% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

Slovakia (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Slovenia (X tons) were the main destinations of fruit flour exports from the Czech Republic, together comprising 65% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Slovenia (with a CAGR of +179.4%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Slovakia ($X), Germany ($X) and Slovenia ($X) were the largest markets for fruit flour exported from the Czech Republic worldwide, with a combined 67% share of total exports. Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Greece and Romania lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 19%.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 34% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

After three years of growth, purchases abroad of fruit flour decreased by -4.6% to X tons in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a buoyant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 188%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2021, and then declined modestly in the following year.

In value terms, fruit flour imports fell to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw strong growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 203%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.

Imports by Country

The United States (X tons), Sri Lanka (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main suppliers of fruit flour imports to the Czech Republic, together comprising 55% of total imports. Turkey, Spain, Italy, Poland, the Philippines, France, Georgia, Ecuador and the Netherlands lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 39%.

The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per ton), while the price for the Philippines ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
