Fluorspar Market Size in the Czech Republic

The Czech fluorspar market soared to $X in 2020, jumping by X% against the previous year. This figure reflects the total revenues of producers and importers (excluding logistics costs, retail marketing costs, and retailers' margins, which will be included in the final consumer price). Over the period under review, exports hit record highs at X tonnes in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2020, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, fluorspar exports shrank notably to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, exports saw a mild decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Exports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2020, exports failed to regain the momentum.

Germany (X tonnes), Hungary (X tonnes) and Latvia (X tonnes) were the main destinations of fluorspar exports from the Czech Republic, with a combined X% share of total exports.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Hungary, while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for fluorspar exported from the Czech Republic were Germany ($X), Hungary ($X) and Latvia ($X), together accounting for X% of total exports.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In 2020, the countries with the highest prices were Belgium ($X per tonne) and Israel ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Germany ($X per tonne) and Sweden ($X per tonne) were amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hungary, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into the Czech Republic

In 2020, approx. X tonnes of fluorspar were imported into the Czech Republic; which is down by -X% compared with the year before. In general, imports continue to indicate a abrupt downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2010 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2020, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, fluorspar imports dropped notably to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, imports showed a mild reduction.
