Exports from the Czech Republic

After three years of growth, shipments abroad of dried vegetables and mixtures of vegetables decreased by X% to X tons in 2022. Over the period under review, exports showed a perceptible downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, dried vegetables exports contracted rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Germany (X tons) was the main destination for dried vegetables exports from the Czech Republic, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, dried vegetables exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Slovakia (X tons), threefold. Belgium (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.

In 2022, overseas purchases of dried vegetables and mixtures of vegetables increased by X% to X tons, rising for the second consecutive year after five years of decline. Overall, total imports indicated a tangible expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by X% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
