Imports into the Czech Republic

In 2020, after four years of growth, there was significant decline in purchases abroad of crude soybean oil, when their volume decreased by -X% to X tonnes. In general, imports, however, recorded a temperate increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2019, and then reduced markedly in the following year.

In value terms, crude soybean oil imports declined to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate pronounced growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2008 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. from 2009 to 2020, the growth imports remained at a lower figure.

Hungary (X tonnes), Germany (X tonnes) and Poland (X tonnes) were the main suppliers of crude soybean oil imports to the Czech Republic, with a combined X% share of total imports.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Hungary (+X% per year), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
