Overall, exports, however, recorded a abrupt decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by 163% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, citrus fruit preserves exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, exports, however, recorded a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by 96%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Slovakia (X tons), Hungary (X tons) and Lithuania (X tons) were the main destinations of citrus fruit preserves exports from the Czech Republic, with a combined 65% share of total exports. Poland, Germany, Austria and Latvia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 32%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Austria (with a CAGR of +132.4%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for citrus fruit preserves exported from the Czech Republic were Hungary ($X), Slovakia ($X) and Poland ($X), with a combined 65% share of total exports. Germany, Austria, Lithuania and Latvia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 32%.

In 2021, the average citrus fruit preserves export price amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 27% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a slight increase from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.5% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, citrus fruit preserves export price increased by +92.2% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 52%. The export price peaked in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Austria ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Latvia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bulgaria (+8.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into the Czech Republic
In 2021, approx. X tons of citrus fruit jams, marmalades, jellies, purees or pastes were imported into the Czech Republic; rising by 15% compared with 2020. In general, imports, however, recorded a mild decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 62% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, citrus fruit preserves imports amounted to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a pronounced slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 33% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
The UK (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Greece (X tons) were the main suppliers of citrus fruit preserves imports to the Czech Republic, together accounting for 52% of total imports. These countries were followed by France, Spain, Slovakia, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Austria, which together accounted for a further 47%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Slovakia (with a CAGR of +141.7%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the UK ($X), France ($X) and Germany ($X) appeared to be the largest citrus fruit preserves suppliers to the Czech Republic, together comprising 58% of total imports. Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Slovakia, Greece, Poland and Austria lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 40%.
The Netherlands, with a CAGR of +426.9%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average citrus fruit preserves import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, waning by -8.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a slight decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average import price increased by 19%. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was France ($X per ton), while the price for Greece ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+9.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
