Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into the Czech Republic

In 2018, the amount of carboys, bottles and similar articles of plastics imported into the Czech Republic amounted to X tonnes, rising by X% against the previous year. In general, plastic bottle imports, however, continue to indicate a drastic setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2018, imports failed to regain their momentum.

In value terms, plastic bottle imports stood at $X in 2018. Overall, plastic bottle imports, however, continue to indicate a significant setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of X% year-to-year. In that year, plastic bottle imports attained their peak of $X. From 2014 to 2018, the growth of plastic bottle imports failed to regain its momentum.

Imports by Country

Italy (X tonnes), Germany (X tonnes) and Slovakia (X tonnes) were the main suppliers of plastic bottle imports to the Czech Republic, together accounting for X% of total imports.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of imports, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Italy, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest plastic bottle suppliers to the Czech Republic were Italy ($X), Germany ($X) and Poland ($X), together accounting for X% of total imports.
