Over the period under review, acyclic hydrocarbons exports attained their maximum at X tonnes in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2018, exports failed to regain their momentum.

In value terms, acyclic hydrocarbons exports stood at $X in 2018. Over the period under review, acyclic hydrocarbons exports, however, continue to indicate an abrupt drop. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Exports peaked at $X in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2018, exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

Germany (X tonnes) was the main destination for acyclic hydrocarbons exports from the Czech Republic, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, acyclic hydrocarbons exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Italy (X tonnes), fourfold. Russia (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Germany totaled -X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Italy (-X% per year) and Russia (-X% per year).

In value terms, Germany ($X), Russia ($X) and France ($X) constituted the largest markets for acyclic hydrocarbons exported from the Czech Republic worldwide, with a combined X% share of total exports.

In terms of the main countries of destination, France recorded the highest growth rate of exports, over the last eleven-year period, while the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2018, the amount of acyclic hydrocarbons imported into the Czech Republic stood at X tonnes, lowering by -X% against the previous year. In general, acyclic hydrocarbons imports continue to indicate a slight shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2010 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. In that year, acyclic hydrocarbons imports reached their peak of X tonnes. From 2011 to 2018, the growth of acyclic hydrocarbons imports failed to regain its momentum.

Moreover, acyclic hydrocarbons imports from Poland exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Hungary (X tonnes), fivefold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by the Netherlands (X tonnes), with a X% share.

Over the period under review, the acyclic hydrocarbons import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, the average import prices for acyclic hydrocarbons reached their maximum at $X per tonne in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2018, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2018, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per tonne), while the price for Serbia ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
