In value terms, Slovenia ($X) remains the key foreign market for truck and bus tire exports from Croatia, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Serbia ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual growth rate of value to Slovenia amounted to +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Serbia (+X% per year) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (+X% per year).

The average truck and bus tire export price stood at $X per unit in 2020, growing by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a pronounced reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2009 an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2010 to 2020, the growth in terms of the average export prices failed to regain the momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was North Macedonia ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Albania ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to North Macedonia, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports of Tyres For Buses Or Lorries

Imports into Croatia

After five years of growth, overseas purchases of tyres for buses or lorries decreased by -X% to X units in 2020. Overall, imports, however, showed a tangible expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2019, and then declined sharply in the following year.

In value terms, truck and bus tire imports dropped to $X in 2020. In general, total imports indicated slight growth from 2007 to 2020: its value increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2020 figures, imports decreased by -X% against 2018 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2020, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2020, Slovenia (X units) constituted the largest supplier of truck and bus tire to Croatia, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, truck and bus tire imports from Slovenia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Slovakia (X units), twofold. Romania (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual growth rate of volume from Slovenia amounted to +X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Slovakia (+X% per year) and Romania (+X% per year).

In value terms, the largest truck and bus tire suppliers to Croatia were Slovenia ($X), Slovakia ($X) and Hungary ($X), together accounting for X% of total imports. These countries were followed by Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Romania, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Poland, China, Luxembourg and France, which together accounted for a further X terms of the main suppliers, the Netherlands saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2020, the average truck and bus tire import price amounted to $X per unit, picking up by X% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a mild curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average import price increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2020, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2020, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per unit), while the price for China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands, while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
