For the third year in a row, Croatia recorded growth in overseas shipments of meat, which increased by X% to X tons in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of X%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, meat exports soared to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports posted a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
Exports by Country
Bosnia and Herzegovina (X tons), Serbia (X tons) and Slovenia (X tons) were the main destinations of meat exports from Croatia, together comprising X% of total exports. Italy, Hungary, Montenegro and Bulgaria lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.
