The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Exports peaked in 2020 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Slovenia (X tonnes), Germany (X tonnes) and the Netherlands (X tonnes) were the main destinations of exports of household and sanitary articles of paper from Croatia, together accounting for X% of total exports. These countries were followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, Serbia, Hungary, Slovakia, Switzerland, Montenegro, Belgium and the Czech Republic, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2020, the biggest increases were in Switzerland (+X% per year), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, the export price, however, recorded a perceptible shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by X% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per tonne in 2009; however, from 2010 to 2020, export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Slovakia ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

After two years of growth, purchases abroad of household and sanitary articles of paper decreased by -X% to X tonnes in 2020. Overall, imports showed a mild setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2010; however, from 2011 to 2020, imports failed to regain the momentum.
In value terms, imports of household and sanitary articles of paper reached $X in 2020. Over the period under review, imports showed a noticeable decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2020, imports failed to regain the momentum.

Germany (X tonnes), Slovenia (X tonnes) and Italy (X tonnes) were the main suppliers of imports of household and sanitary articles of paper to Croatia, together comprising X% of total imports. These countries were followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, Serbia and Hungary, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Serbia, while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a noticeable contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 an increase of X% y-o-y. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per tonne. from 2009 to 2020, the growth in terms of the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2020, the highest prices were recorded for prices from Germany ($X per tonne) and Austria ($X per tonne), while the price for Serbia ($X per tonne) and Bosnia and Herzegovina ($X per tonne) were amongst the lowest.
