The United States (X tonnes) was the main destination for green bean exports from Colombia, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, green bean exports to the United States exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Canada (X tonnes), threefold. Qatar (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to the United States totaled -X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Canada (+X% per year) and Qatar (+X% per year).
In value terms, the largest markets for green bean exported from Colombia were the United States ($X), Qatar ($X) and Panama ($X), with a combined X% share of total exports.
Among the main countries of destination, Qatar, with a CAGR of +X%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average green bean export price amounted to $X per tonne, declining by -X% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a noticeable contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of X% year-to-year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per tonne. From 2018 to 2021, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Panama ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Canada ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Panama (+X%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2021, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in purchases abroad of green beans, when their volume decreased by -X% to X tonnes. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate measured growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2020, and then shrank markedly in the following year.
In value terms, green bean imports plummeted to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed a slight expansion.
