In general, exports showed strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2023, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, textile tubing exports soared to $X in 2023. Overall, exports continue to indicate a measured increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2023, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

In 2023, Russia (X tons) represented the major exporter of textile hosepiping and similar textile tubing, mixing up X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Belarus (X tons), generating a X% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to textile tubing exports from Russia stood at X%. At the same time, Belarus (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Belarus emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. From 2012 to 2023, the share of Belarus increased by X percentage points.

In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest textile tubing supplier in the CIS, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Belarus ($X), with an X% share of total exports.

For the fourth year in a row, the CIS recorded growth in overseas purchases of textile hosepiping and similar textile tubing, which increased by X% to X tons in 2023. Total imports indicated a mild expansion from 2012 to 2023: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, imports decreased by X% against 2018 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, textile tubing imports expanded notably to $X in 2023. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2023, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2023, Russia (X tons) was the largest importer of textile hosepiping and similar textile tubing, comprising X% of total imports. Uzbekistan (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a X% share, followed by Belarus (X%) and Kazakhstan (X%). Azerbaijan (X tons) took a relatively small share of total imports.

Imports into Russia decreased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Uzbekistan (X%), Azerbaijan (X%) and Belarus (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. Kazakhstan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. While the share of Uzbekistan (X p.p.), Belarus (X p.p.) and Azerbaijan (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2023, the share of Russia (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

The second position in the ranking was held by Belarus ($X), with a X% share of total imports. It was followed by Kazakhstan, with a X% share.

From 2012 to 2023, the average annual growth rate of value in Russia totaled X%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Belarus (X% per year) and Kazakhstan (X% per year).

Import Prices by Country

In 2023, the import price in the CIS amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a deep reduction. Over the period under review, import prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2023, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Azerbaijan ($X per ton), while Uzbekistan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belarus (X%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
