In 2022, the amount of sulphite wrapping paper exported in the CIS surged to X tons, jumping by X% on 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, sulphite wrapping paper exports surged to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw a abrupt decline. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

Russia was the key exporting country with an export of around X tons, which accounted for X% of total exports. Belarus (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Uzbekistan (X%).

By contrast, Tajikistan (X%), Moldova (X%), Kazakhstan (X%) and Azerbaijan (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Russia (X p.p.), Kyrgyzstan (X p.p.) and Armenia (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Moldova, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan saw its share reduced by X%, X% and X% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
