Spirits And Liqueurs Exports

Exports in CIS

In 2022, the amount of spirits, liqueurs and other spirituous beverages exported in the CIS reduced rapidly to X litres, falling by X% compared with the year before. In general, exports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X litres in 2021, and then contracted rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, spirits and liqueurs exports dropped to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

Armenia (X litres) and Russia (X litres) dominates exports structure, together mixing up X% of total exports. Moldova (X litres) took the next position in the ranking, followed by Kazakhstan (X litres). All these countries together took approx. X% share of total exports. Uzbekistan (X litres) and Azerbaijan (X litres) took a little share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Uzbekistan (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Armenia ($X) remains the largest spirits and liqueurs supplier in the CIS, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Russia ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Moldova, with an X% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Armenia totaled X%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Russia (X% per year) and Moldova (X% per year).

The export price in the CIS stood at $X per litre in 2022, with an increase of X% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($X per litre), while Russia ($X per litre) was amongst the lowest.

Imports in CIS

Spirits and liqueurs imports surged to X litres in 2022, jumping by X% against the year before. Total imports indicated a moderate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by X% against 2015 indices. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, spirits and liqueurs imports contracted significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a perceptible decline.
