Exports in CIS

In 2022, after four years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of semiconductor light emitting diodes (LEDs), when their volume decreased by X% to X units. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a perceptible curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X units in 2021, and then dropped markedly in the following year.

In value terms, semiconductor LED exports shrank markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports showed a pronounced decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

Belarus prevails in exports structure, amounting to X units, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X units) and Armenia (X units), together achieving a X% share of total exports. Russia (X units) held a minor share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to semiconductor LED exports from Belarus stood at X%. At the same time, Armenia (X%) and Kazakhstan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Armenia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. In value terms, semiconductor LED imports fell remarkably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a buoyant expansion. In 2022, Kazakhstan (X units) represented the largest importer of semiconductor light emitting diodes (LEDs), committing X% of total imports. Moldova (X units) held the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Belarus (X units). All these countries together took near X% share of total imports.
