Exports in CIS
In 2022, approx. X tons of raspberries and blackberries were exported in the CIS; with an increase of X% on the year before. Over the period under review, exports showed significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, raspberry and blackberry exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, exports recorded significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
Exports by Country
Kyrgyzstan represented the main exporter of raspberries and blackberries in the CIS, with the volume of exports accounting for X tons, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Moldova (X tons), Azerbaijan (X tons), Belarus (X tons) and Tajikistan (X tons), together making up a X% share of total exports. Armenia (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

At the same time, Tajikistan (X%), Azerbaijan (X%), Armenia (X%), Moldova (X%) and Belarus (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Tajikistan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. Azerbaijan (X p.p.), Moldova (X p.p.), Tajikistan (X p.p.) and Armenia (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Belarus and Kyrgyzstan saw its share reduced by X% and X% from 2012 to 2022, respectively.
In value terms, Moldova ($X) remains the largest raspberry and blackberry supplier in the CIS, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kyrgyzstan ($X), with an X% share of total exports. It was followed by Azerbaijan, with a X% share.

Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, raspberry and blackberry imports contracted to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, showed a deep reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Russia dominates imports structure, finishing at X tons, which was near X% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Belarus (X tons), achieving a X% share of total imports. Kazakhstan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Imports into Russia increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Belarus (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Belarus emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Kazakhstan (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Belarus (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Russia (X p.p.) and Kazakhstan (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.
In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported raspberries and blackberries in the CIS, comprising X% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with an X% share of total imports.
