Kazakhstan (X units) and Russia (X units) dominates exports structure, together achieving 97% of total exports. Belarus (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Kazakhstan (with a CAGR of +69.6%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest photo-copying apparatus supplying countries in the CIS were Kazakhstan ($X), Russia ($X) and Belarus ($X), together accounting for 98% of total exports.
In terms of the main exporting countries, Kazakhstan, with a CAGR of +51.4%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the export price increased by 129% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($X per unit), while Kazakhstan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belarus (-7.2%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in CIS
In 2022, imports of photo-copying apparatus in the CIS skyrocketed to X units, increasing by 20% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, imports saw a modest expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 106%. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, photo-copying apparatus imports reduced to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a noticeable contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 49%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Russia (X units) represented the key importer of photo-copying apparatus, committing 64% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Uzbekistan (X units), generating a 25% share of total imports. Azerbaijan (X units), Armenia (X units) and Kazakhstan (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Moreover, Armenia emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +46.1% from 2012-2022. Uzbekistan (+25 p.p.), Armenia (+3.5 p.p.) and Azerbaijan (+2.6 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Russia saw its share reduced by -32.4% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported photo-copying apparatus in the CIS, comprising 52% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 15% share of total imports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with an 11% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Russia amounted to -7.4%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Kazakhstan (+3.6% per year) and Uzbekistan (-4.5% per year).

The import price in the CIS stood at $X per unit in 2022, which is down by -17.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a perceptible slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 76% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per unit), while Uzbekistan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
