The yield figure increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the garlic yield attained the maximum level in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term. Exports in CIS
In 2022, overseas shipments of garlic increased by X% to X tons, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. Overall, exports saw a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, garlic exports amounted to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports saw a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Uzbekistan (X tons) and Kyrgyzstan (X tons) prevails in exports structure, together making up X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Russia (X tons), generating a X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Azerbaijan (X tons) and Tajikistan (X tons) - together made up X% of total exports.

Total imports indicated a tangible increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. Kazakhstan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. While the share of Uzbekistan (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Kazakhstan (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.
