After four years of growth, the CIS fork-lift truck market decreased by -X% to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, consumption continues to indicate a mild descent. The volume of export peaked in 2020 and is likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, fork-lift truck exports reduced modestly to $X in 2020. Overall, exports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010 with an increase of X% y-o-y. The level of export peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2020, exports remained at a lower figure.

Russia prevails in fork-lift truck exports structure, finishing at X units, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2020. It was distantly followed by Belarus (X units), making up a X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Kazakhstan (X units), Uzbekistan (X units) and Moldova (X units) - each accounted for a X% share of total exports.

From 2007 to 2020, average annual rates of growth with regard to fork-lift truck exports from Russia stood at +X%. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2020. Belarus experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Moldova (-X%) and Kazakhstan (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2011 when the export price increased by X% year-to-year. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2020, export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2020, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($X per unit), while Russia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Uzbekistan, while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the export price figures.

After four years of growth, overseas purchases of fork-lift trucks decreased by -X% to X units in 2020. Over the period under review, imports recorded a slight descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2010 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X units in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2020, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, fork-lift truck imports fell to $X in 2020. In general, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern.
