In 2022, overseas shipments of plastic tableware and kitchenware decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the second year in a row after nine years of growth. Total exports indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports decreased by X% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, plastic tableware and kitchenware exports plummeted to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw prominent growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then contracted rapidly in the following year.

Exports by Country

Russia represented the major exporter of plastic tableware and kitchenware in the CIS, with the volume of exports recording X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. Belarus (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Uzbekistan (X tons). All these countries together took near X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Kazakhstan (X tons), Azerbaijan (X tons) and Armenia (X tons) - each reached a X% share of total exports.

Exports from Russia increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Armenia (X%), Kazakhstan (X%), Azerbaijan (X%) and Belarus (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Armenia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Uzbekistan (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Uzbekistan (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Russia (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest plastic tableware and kitchenware supplier in the CIS, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Belarus ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with a X% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Russia totaled X%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Belarus (X% per year) and Uzbekistan (X% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per ton, shrinking by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a pronounced slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of X%.
