Crane exports contracted rapidly to X units in 2022, declining by X% compared with 2021 figures. Overall, exports saw a mild decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X%. The volume of export peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, crane exports shrank remarkably to $X in 2022. In general, exports saw a drastic downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Russia represented the major exporter of derricks, cranes, mobile lifting frames, straddle carriers and work trucks fitted with a crane in the CIS, with the volume of exports accounting for X units, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X units), Armenia (X units) and Belarus (X units), together creating a X% share of total exports. Uzbekistan (X units), Moldova (X units) and Azerbaijan (X units) took a minor share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to crane exports from Russia stood at X%. At the same time, Armenia (X%) and Uzbekistan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Armenia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. Azerbaijan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. In 2022, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, approximately equating the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a perceptible curtailment.
