Over the period under review, exports attained the maximum at X tonnes in 2019, and then dropped sharply in the following year.

In value terms, crude soybean oil exports declined to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, exports reached the maximum at $X in 2019, and then declined in the following year.

Exports by Country

Russia dominates crude soybean oil exports structure, recording X tonnes, which was near X% of total exports in 2020. It was distantly followed by Belarus (X tonnes), comprising a X% share of total exports. Kazakhstan (X tonnes) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Exports from Russia increased at an average annual rate of +X% from 2007 to 2020. At the same time, Kazakhstan (+X%) and Belarus (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kazakhstan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2020. After two years of growth, purchases abroad of crude soybean oil decreased by -X% to X tonnes in 2020. In general, imports, however, recorded notable growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tonnes in 2019, and then dropped notably in the following year.

In value terms, crude soybean oil imports expanded significantly to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 with an increase of X% y-o-y. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2009 to 2020, the growth imports failed to regain the momentum.

Imports by Country

Russia (X tonnes) and Uzbekistan (X tonnes) dominates crude soybean oil imports structure, together constituting X% of total imports. Armenia (X tonnes) held a minor share of total imports.
