The export price in the CIS stood at $X per ton in 2022, with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a noticeable decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when the export price increased by X%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per ton), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kazakhstan (X%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the export price figures.

Over the period under review, imports saw a drastic downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by X%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, cationic surface-active agents (excl. soap) imports fell notably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a dramatic curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Belarus dominates imports structure, recording X tons, which was near X% of total imports in 2022. Uzbekistan (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a X% share, followed by Azerbaijan (X%), Kyrgyzstan (X%), Tajikistan (X%) and Moldova (X%). Armenia (X tons) took a relatively small share of total imports.
Imports into Belarus increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Tajikistan (X%), Kyrgyzstan (X%) and Azerbaijan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Tajikistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Armenia (X%), Moldova (X%) and Uzbekistan (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Belarus (X p.p.), Uzbekistan (X p.p.), Kyrgyzstan (X p.p.), Azerbaijan (X p.p.), Tajikistan (X p.p.), Moldova (X p.p.) and Armenia (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Belarus ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported cationic surface-active agents (excluding soap) in the CIS, comprising X% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Azerbaijan ($X), with a X% share of total imports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with a X% share.
In Belarus, cationic surface-active agents (excl. soap) imports increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Azerbaijan (X% per year) and Uzbekistan (X% per year).
