The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 36% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, bleached sulphate pulp imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports recorded a resilient expansion. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Russia prevails in imports structure, finishing at X tons, which was approx. 83% of total imports in 2021. Uzbekistan (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 6.9% share, followed by Belarus (6.5%). Kazakhstan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
