Ball Exports

Exports in CIS

In 2022, overseas shipments of balls decreased by X% to X units, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, exports, however, recorded a remarkable increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X units in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, ball exports expanded markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw prominent growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the near future.

Exports by Country

Russia prevails in exports structure, reaching X units, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X units), creating a X% share of total exports. Moldova (X units) and Uzbekistan (X units) took a relatively small share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to ball exports from Russia stood at X%. At the same time, Moldova (X%), Uzbekistan (X%) and Kazakhstan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Moldova emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. Moldova (X p.p.), Uzbekistan (X p.p.) and Kazakhstan (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Russia saw its share reduced by X% from 2012 to 2022, respectively.

In 2022, the amount of balls imported in the CIS reduced sharply to X units, shrinking by X% on 2021 figures. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded noticeable growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by X%. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2021, and then contracted dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, ball imports shrank to $X in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a slight downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by X%. The following importers - Armenia (X units), Azerbaijan (X units), Kyrgyzstan (X units) and Moldova (X units) - together made up X% of total imports.

Imports into Russia increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Azerbaijan (X%), Uzbekistan (X%), Kyrgyzstan (X%), Kazakhstan (X%), Armenia (X%) and Moldova (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Azerbaijan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. While the share of Uzbekistan (X p.p.), Azerbaijan (X p.p.), Kazakhstan (X p.p.) and Kyrgyzstan (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Russia (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
