The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 4,096%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In 2021, Indonesia (X tons) was the main nutmeg, mace and cardamom supplier to China, with a 92% share of total imports. Moreover, nutmeg, mace and cardamom imports from Indonesia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Myanmar (X tons), more than tenfold.
