In 2020, the average maize oil export price amounted to $X per tonne, increasing by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a measured expansion from 2007 to 2020: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2020 figures, maize oil export price increased by +X% against 2018 indices. In 2020, maize oil imports into China soared to X tonnes, with an increase of X% on the previous year. in general, imports recorded prominent growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2011 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2020 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

In value terms, maize oil imports skyrocketed to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 when imports increased by X% against the previous year.
