In 2022, the Chinese frozen pork cut market decreased by -60.6% to $X for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Imports into China

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of frozen hams, shoulders and cuts of pig meat, when their volume decreased by -54.7% to X tons. In general, imports, however, posted a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 121%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2021, and then shrank markedly in the following year.

In value terms, frozen pork cut imports shrank significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted resilient growth.
