Exports from China
In 2022, approx. X tons of extracts, essences and concentrates of tea or mate were exported from China; reducing by X% against 2021 figures. Over the period under review, total exports indicated tangible growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by X% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons, and then fell in the following year.
In value terms, extracts of tea exports dropped markedly to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, showed prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then reduced sharply in the following year.
Exports by Country
The United States (X tons), Indonesia (X tons) and Singapore (X tons) were the main destinations of extracts of tea exports from China, together accounting for X% of total exports. Hong Kong SAR, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Japan, Kazakhstan, Ireland and Colombia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.
